20Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.Log in to add notes

21In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.Log in to add notes

22Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.Log in to add notes

23If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?Log in to add notes

24But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:Log in to add notes

25And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.Log in to add notes

17And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.Log in to add notes

18And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.Log in to add notes

19And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.Log in to add notes

20And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.Log in to add notes

21And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?Log in to add notes

22But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?Log in to add notes

23Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?Log in to add notes

24But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.Log in to add notes

25And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.Log in to add notes

26And they were all amazed, and they glorified God, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to day.Log in to add notes
