A study companion built around a multilingual Bible, the Orthodox liturgical calendar, daily readings, saints, and personal notes.

Bible source text was downloaded from the scrollmapper/bible_databases repository on GitHub and ingested into the SQLite modules that ship with the site.

Included translations

  English — Authorized King James Version, with Apocrypha (public domain in most parts of the world).

  Nederlands — Statenvertaling, met Apocriefen (public domain).

  Русский — Синодальный перевод (public domain).

• TH

  ภาษาไทย — พระคัมภีร์ไทย ฉบับ King James (public domain).

The movable and fixed cycles, daily readings, pericopes, saints, and commemorations were ingested from the Django fixtures in orthocal-python by Brian Glass.

orthocal-python is distributed under the MIT License; the upstream copyright notice is preserved with the shipped data.

No analytics, no advertising, no third-party tracking cookies. The only data stored in your browser is what the app itself needs.

  Language preference — A NEXT_LOCALE cookie remembers the interface language you pick from the top bar.

  Sign-in session — When you log in, the server sets an authentication cookie so you stay signed in. It is cleared when you log out.

  Editor preference & note drafts — Your chosen editor mode and any in-progress verse notes are kept in local storage so they survive reloads.
