1And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,Log in to add notes

2He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.Log in to add notes

3And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.Log in to add notes

4Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.Log in to add notes

6And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.Log in to add notes

21Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?Log in to add notes

22Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?Log in to add notes

23And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.Log in to add notes

25Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?Log in to add notes
