11And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.Log in to add notes

12And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.Log in to add notes

13And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.Log in to add notes

14And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.Log in to add notes

15The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?Log in to add notes

16And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?Log in to add notes

17And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.Log in to add notes

38Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.Log in to add notes

39And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word.Log in to add notes

40But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.Log in to add notes

41And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:Log in to add notes

42But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.Log in to add notes

27And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.Log in to add notes
