1And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,Log in to add notes

2He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.Log in to add notes

3And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism.Log in to add notes

4Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.Log in to add notes

5When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.Log in to add notes

6And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.Log in to add notes

8And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.Log in to add notes

13Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.Log in to add notes

16Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.Log in to add notes

29The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.Log in to add notes

30This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.Log in to add notes

31And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.Log in to add notes

32And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.Log in to add notes

33And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.Log in to add notes

20Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.Log in to add notes

22Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.Log in to add notes

23And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.Log in to add notes

24And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!Log in to add notes

25For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.Log in to add notes

26And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved?Log in to add notes
