24The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, [so] shall it stand:

25That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.

26This [is] the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this [is] the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations.

27For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul [it]? and his hand [is] stretched out, and who shall turn it back?

28In the year that king Ahaz died was this burden.

29Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent's root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit [shall be] a fiery flying serpent.

30And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety: and I will kill thy root with famine, and he shall slay thy remnant.

31Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Palestina, [art] dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none [shall be] alone in his appointed times.

32What shall [one] then answer the messengers of the nation? That the LORD hath founded Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust in it.

8:21And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart [is] evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.

8:22While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

9:1And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.

9:2And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth [upon] the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.

9:3Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

9:4But flesh with the life thereof, [which is] the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.

9:5And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.

9:6Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.

9:7And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.

11:19As righteousness [tendeth] to life: so he that pursueth evil [pursueth it] to his own death.

11:20They that are of a froward heart [are] abomination to the LORD: but [such as are] upright in [their] way [are] his delight.

11:21[Though] hand [join] in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.

11:22[As] a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, [so is] a fair woman which is without discretion.

11:23The desire of the righteous [is] only good: [but] the expectation of the wicked [is] wrath.

11:24There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and [there is] that withholdeth more than is meet, but [it tendeth] to poverty.

11:25The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

11:26He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing [shall be] upon the head of him that selleth [it].

11:27He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.

11:28He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.

11:29He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool [shall be] servant to the wise of heart.

11:30The fruit of the righteous [is] a tree of life; and he that winneth souls [is] wise.

11:31Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.

12:1Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof [is] brutish.

12:2A good [man] obtaineth favour of the LORD: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.

12:3A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.

12:4A virtuous woman [is] a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed [is] as rottenness in his bones.

12:5The thoughts of the righteous [are] right: [but] the counsels of the wicked [are] deceit.

12:6The words of the wicked [are] to lie in wait for blood: but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.

10:31The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out.

10:32The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked [speaketh] frowardness.

11:1A false balance [is] abomination to the LORD: but a just weight [is] his delight.

11:2[When] pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly [is] wisdom.

11:3The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

11:4Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.

11:5The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.

11:6The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in [their own] naughtiness.

11:7When a wicked man dieth, [his] expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust [men] perisheth.

11:8The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead.

11:9An hypocrite with [his] mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.

11:10When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, [there is] shouting.

11:11By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.

11:12He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace.

1Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

2But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

3To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

4And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

5And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

6This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.

7Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

8All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

9I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

17Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that [is] unprofitable for you.

18Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.

19But I beseech [you] the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.

20Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

21Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom [be] glory for ever and ever. Amen.

9I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.

11I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

12But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

13The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

14I am the good shepherd, and know my [sheep], and am known of mine.

15As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

16And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, [and] one shepherd.
