12But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;Log in to add notes

13So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;Log in to add notes

14And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.Log in to add notes

15Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:Log in to add notes

16The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:Log in to add notes

17But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.Log in to add notes

18What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.Log in to add notes

19For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,Log in to add notes

20According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.Log in to add notes

33And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink?Log in to add notes

34And he said unto them, Can ye make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?Log in to add notes

35But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.Log in to add notes

36And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.Log in to add notes

37And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.Log in to add notes

38But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.Log in to add notes

39No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.Log in to add notes
