9Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this, and shew us former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.Log in to add notes

14Thus saith the Lord, your redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought down all their nobles, and the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships.Log in to add notes

1But the souls of the righteous are in the hand of God, and there shall no torment touch them.Log in to add notes

2In the sight of the unwise they seemed to die: and their departure is taken for misery,Log in to add notes

3And their going from us to be utter destruction: but they are in peace.Log in to add notes

4For though they be punished in the sight of men, yet is their hope full of immortality.Log in to add notes

5And having been a little chastised, they shall be greatly rewarded: for God proved them, and found them worthy for himself.Log in to add notes

6As gold in the furnace hath he tried them, and received them as a burnt offering.Log in to add notes

8They shall judge the nations, and have dominion over the people, and their Lord shall reign for ever.Log in to add notes

9They that put their trust in him shall understand the truth: and such as be faithful in love shall abide with him: for grace and mercy is to his saints, and he hath care for his elect.Log in to add notes

7But though the righteous be prevented with death, yet shall he be in rest.Log in to add notes

8For honourable age is not that which standeth in length of time, nor that is measured by number of years.Log in to add notes

9But wisdom is the gray hair unto men, and an unspotted life is old age.Log in to add notes

10He pleased God, and was beloved of him: so that living among sinners he was translated.Log in to add notes

11Yea speedily was he taken away, lest that wickedness should alter his understanding, or deceit beguile his soul.Log in to add notes

12For the bewitching of naughtiness doth obscure things that are honest; and the wandering of concupiscence doth undermine the simple mind.Log in to add notes

13He, being made perfect in a short time, fulfilled a long time:Log in to add notes

14For his soul pleased the Lord: therefore hasted he to take him away from among the wicked.Log in to add notes

15This the people saw, and understood it not, neither laid they up this in their minds, That his grace and mercy is with his saints, and that he hath respect unto his chosen.Log in to add notes

12But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake.Log in to add notes

13And it shall turn to you for a testimony.Log in to add notes

14Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:Log in to add notes

15For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.Log in to add notes

16And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.Log in to add notes

17And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.Log in to add notes

18But there shall not an hair of your head perish.Log in to add notes

19In your patience possess ye your souls.Log in to add notes

12Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?Log in to add notes

13But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:Log in to add notes

14And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.Log in to add notes

15Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.Log in to add notes

16For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:Log in to add notes

17And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.Log in to add notes

18Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.Log in to add notes

19If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.Log in to add notes

28And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.Log in to add notes

29For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.Log in to add notes

30Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.Log in to add notes

31What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?Log in to add notes

32He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?Log in to add notes

33Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.Log in to add notes

34Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.Log in to add notes

35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?Log in to add notes

36As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.Log in to add notes

37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.Log in to add notes

38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,Log in to add notes

39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.Log in to add notes

18Now in the morning as he returned into the city, he hungered.Log in to add notes

19And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away.Log in to add notes

20And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away!Log in to add notes

21Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.Log in to add notes

22And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.Log in to add notes

15:18If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.Log in to add notes

15:19If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.Log in to add notes

15:20Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.Log in to add notes

15:22If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.Log in to add notes

15:26But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:Log in to add notes

16:1These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.Log in to add notes

16:2They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.Log in to add notes
