23And he said, Lord God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart:Log in to add notes

27But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?Log in to add notes

28Yet have thou respect unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O Lord my God, to hearken unto the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee to day:Log in to add notes

29That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place.Log in to add notes

30And hearken thou to the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: and hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place: and when thou hearest, forgive.Log in to add notes

19The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens.Log in to add notes

3And he entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.Log in to add notes

4Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.Log in to add notes

5And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.Log in to add notes

6And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.Log in to add notes

7And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.Log in to add notes

8When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.Log in to add notes

9For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken:Log in to add notes

10And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.Log in to add notes

11And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed him.Log in to add notes

13When Jesus came into the coasts of Cesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?Log in to add notes

14And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.Log in to add notes

15He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?Log in to add notes

16And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.Log in to add notes

17And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar–jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.Log in to add notes

18And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.Log in to add notes
