6And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:Log in to add notes

8For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.Log in to add notes

9For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;Log in to add notes

10And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.Log in to add notes

23And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.Log in to add notes

24For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.Log in to add notes

25For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?Log in to add notes

26For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels.Log in to add notes
