9For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.Log in to add notes

13For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.Log in to add notes

14For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they have of the Jews:Log in to add notes

1And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.Log in to add notes

2And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.Log in to add notes

3Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.Log in to add notes

4I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.Log in to add notes

5So he called every one of his lord’s debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord?Log in to add notes

6And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.Log in to add notes

7Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore.Log in to add notes

8And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.Log in to add notes

9And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.Log in to add notes
